MRC has a unique range of features which comprise industrial development potential, a large high quality freshwater supply producing hydro-electric power, a deep water pier, slipways and an unrivalled range of existing facilities and infrastructure. MRC has established a small highly skilled engineering team providing on-site support to MRC users. Other core business includes fish food storage & distribution and winter yacht storage (indoors & out) and MRC Energy Limited. click on a photo to enlarge The site at Barcaldine is 12 miles North of Oban on the A828 and two hours comfortable drive from Glasgow.  It is also 6 miles from Oban Airport located on the North side of Connel Village which is suitable for recreational / private / and commercial use.   Situated on the southern shores of picturesque Loch Creran, Barcaldine Marine is a new facility being developed by the Marine Resource Centre. Utilising the existing slipway, undercover facilities, outdoor hard standing and moorings, MRC already provides undercover winter storage for around 100 craft and a variety of commercial marine services. Cruising facilities include 50 swinging moorings and complementary facilities include toilets, showers, car parking and secure dinghy storage. Water is available alongside.
